The Cultural Technologies Lab positions cultural technologies as fundamental mechanisms for adapting to climate change and technological, social, and political volatility. By exploring and amplifying cultural practices, we create pathways for resilience and localized action.

Culture in a volatile world
The Cultural Technologies Lab identifies, localizes, and amplifies cultural practices and technologies. We seek to document and apply vital tools for adaptation to climate volatility and its downstream impacts in technology, rising authoritarianism, and social inequality.
Founded as an independent initiative, the Lab builds on UKAI Projects’ ethos of “culture for what’s coming.”
